Birchbox | September 'Happy Days'

Hey everybody!

It's that time again...Birchbox time! Today I was too excited after recieving the email stating my box was on the way, and even more so when the lovely lady came to post it!

This months box is called 'Happy Days', and boy is it gorgeous! It makes a difference from the usual brown boxes we get, and all the little decoration across it are super cute. The box is themed around looking back at the happiest days of our lives - be it school or university memories, to events with friends and family.

Agave Healing Oil Treatment - 4ml
RRP From £16 - 120ml
Mexico's blue agave is best known as the source of tequila, but we're also intoxicated by it's ability to moisturise and strengthen hair. Agave extract is a key ingredient in this healing oil treatment created by Beverly Hills hairdresser Fernando Romero. The lightweight oil helps hair build resiliency as it boosts vibrancy, shine and colour. And it's free of the stuff that's not so good for your locks; parabens, sulphates and phthalates.

I'm pretty sure I've heard of this brand before, but never had the chance to use it. I've never really used oil on my hair before as I'm too paranoid about making it greasy! But there's something about this I can't resist. It smells intoxicating! At the moment my hair is getting quite unmanageable and frizzy around the top, so I'm excited to use this and see if it actually works. Even if it doesn't - well, it'll make my hair smell gorgeous!

Benefit 'It's Potent!' Eye Cream - 3g
RRP £25.50 - 14.2.g
Thanks to this powerful cream, even stressed-out workaholics can cheat eight hours of sleep. The thick caramel-coloured refreshment works to preserves the elasticity of the delicate under eye area while protecting skin from free radicals. A team of actives, including cocoa extract, boosts microcirculation to help fade the look of dark circles. With apple extract to up the collagen count and loquat extract to fight free radicals, you're covered.

Ahh Benefit, we love you. This eye cream actually works wonders, and helps to fade the dark circles under eyes. I actually purchased the full size of this product a while back. Since then, I've actually been using it every day and I'm hooked. Gone are the days where people ask me 'Are you okay? You look tired!'.

Korres Citrus Shower Gel - 50ml
RRP £8.00 - 250ml
Korres creates shower gels that truly deliver on both skin hydration and divine scents. Wheat proteins create a film layer that maintain the hydration of your skin, so even the driest of skins won't dry out. The lightweight formula's citrusy scent is the perfect morning pick-me-up ritual - plus, the sleek packaging looks gorgeous in the bathroom too!

When I first saw this was citrus flavoured, I'll admit I was hesitant. There's something about citrus that just doesn't appeal to me. But thankfully, this product doesn't go overboard with the citrus like some brands do. It smells muskier than I expected, with little tones of the citrus coming through. The fact that it promises to aid with dry skin also has me excited to use it; around the top of my arms is where I suffer worst, so I'm intrigued to see if it works!

ModelCo Lip Lacquer in 'Viva'
RRP £15
ModelCo's long-wearing, highly pigmented formula delivers a luxe glossy pout. The dense, high-colour gloss glides on smoothly for a non-sticky, long-lasting finish that gives hydrating all-day moisture. Bonus: the skinny packaging is totally tote-able!

For this months box, Birchbox offered us something unique; the chance to choose one of the items we'd receive! The choices were this lipgloss, another shade or a mascara. With my skintone I figured the 'viva' shade would be best, as the other shade seemed too dark. I'm so pleased with this choice as it smells delicious! Something like sweets, mmm :)

BeautyBlender + BlenderCleanser Solid
RRP £26
Eggs are nutritionally good for you for a lot of reasons, and this egg-shaped beauty tool is good for your make-up too! The beautyblender make-up sponge was created without edges in order to eliminate visible lines and streaks. Use the sides of the sponge to seamlessly apply foundation and blush all over the face, while the pointed tip is great for applying base into small spaces and onto blemishes. This little egg-shaped miracle will leave your make-up looking flawless. And the solid blendercleanser soap will leave IT looking flawless!

When I saw this in my birchbox this month, I did a little song and dance! I'd been lusting after this for what feels like forever, and was considering buying one before I received it. After seeing so many good reviews about it on other blogs, I knew I had to have it in my make-up collection! So thank you birchbox! :)

Lifestyle:
Urban Fruit 'Magnificent Mango' - RRP £13.20 for 6
Birchbox 'Happy Days' Photo Clip

This month we're treated to two lifestyle pieces in the box! Having just tried out the mango pieces, I have to say I'm unimpressed. I don't know what it is, I think I just don't like mango? Anyway I could only stomach one piece, so my boyfriend will be happy that he gets the rest of the bag! (For some reason he likes it, ugh).
The photoclip however is cute and I can't wait to use it! I'm sending some photos off with photobox soon to be printed so when they come back it's just deciding which photo to display! In addition to this, there's an exclusive offer for birchbox subscribers for either 76% off a canvas, 50% off a personalised phone case or 50% off a photo block. As for me, I think I'll be going for the canvas to hang in my newly redecorated bedroom!

So there it is, this months birchbox has been a huge success! Do you receive birchbox? If so, what did you get?
