Paris is a beautiful city. Visiting in autumn was perfect for me; the leaves are turning gorgeous deep shades and the air seems crisper. I couldn't believe my luck when my lovely boyfriend suggested a city break for us both to have some alone time.
We settled on getting the Eurostar as a cheaper option - however, this meant we had to stay in London the night before, as the train was at 7am! For a girl that loves lie-ins as much as I do, this was killer.
However, we arrived in Paris a couple of hours before midday, and quickly headed to the hotel to ditch the bags and freshen up. We'd opted to stay in a Mercure hotel along the Seine, and it was about a five minute walk from the Eiffel Tower. Perfect.

The room was gorgeous, and we'd even upgraded to a supreme room for extra luxury. As an added bonus, we even got a fluffy bath robe each. Yay!

After freshening up, we headed on out with our cameras as typical tourists and went on a walking tour of Paris. Now I don't know what your thoughts on Paris are, but 'The Da Vinci Code' seriously misled me. I was under the impression everything was close together! Apparently not...

Isn't Paris beautiful? Plus we got some very good use out of my selfie stick! Liam mocked me at first, but I knew he'd come around to my way of thinking ;)

It's absolutely gorgeous! I think I'd pick going in Autumn over Simmer any day :)
Selfie Sticks are the best! We didn't either until we saw people on top :)
Ahh thank you :) The Eiffel Tower is fantastic, but it's soo high it made me a little dizzy!
