Day Three of Paris and Liam wanted to visit the Catacombs...I guess taking him to see 'As Above, So Below' didn't put him off the idea. So we headed down outside of the main tourist-y areas of Paris towards the Catacombs. All in all, we waited for only around 30-45 minutes to get inside, which was a blessing really as the official website stated there's normally around a 2-3 hour wait!

"Stop! Here lies the Empire of Death." Empire of Death...Needless to say, at the time we actually had no idea what was written above the entry to the graves - my basic French clearly wasn't enough! If we had have known, it might have prepared us more for what lay ahead; miles of bones piled up, and boy was it a bit disturbing. It really makes you reflect on things - there's the bones of millions of people, right below the busy streets of Paris.
After visiting the underground of Paris (and then the Catacombs gift shop), we next headed to the Eiffel Tower. Thankfully we had taken my Dad's advice and booked advanced tickets online to beat the queues, as they were quite lengthy! For around 13 euros you can get a ticket right to the very top of the Eiffel Tower, and for the view you get its a very small price to pay really.

We had booked tickets for around sunset, and the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower was absolutely breathtaking. I think I'll just let the pictures do the talking.
