Hello 2015 and Novel Announcement!

I'm never normally one to make New Years resolutions. No matter what it is, I can just never seem to stick to it. Be it being healthier in regards to eating, or going to the gym more, it eventually goes downhill. And with that in mind, I've instead decided that I'd set myself a few goals instead. Plus, if I write them on here, they kind of have to be achieved, right?

1. Write more content. Since starting my blog back in May, I can't believe how welcome and at home I've felt in the blogging community. I adore each and every one of you guys for reading my little blog, and it's my aim to write more posts this year. I'm going to try my best to stick to my new blogging schedule, but that being said - I may fall off the radar a bit here and there. See 2. for more exciting info!

2. Publishing. For years I've loved writing fiction, ever since I was little I'd write myself little stories here and there. And rather excitingly, I'm actually publishing my first novel this year! *SQUEALS IN EXCITEMENT.* 2015 is going to be the year for me, and I can't wait to share it all with you.

My first novel, tenatively titled 'Escape' and in the YA/NA category, will be rounded off and published within the next few months. Obviously at the moment I can't go into too much detail, but keep your eyes peeled! As you can expect, writing a novel is a heck of a lot of hard work, and as such my posts on here may slip every now and then. Rest assured I won't forget about you all - in fact, I'm hoping you will all still be supportive and help me through this! The blogging community has been one of my best highlights of 2014, and I hope you guys will stick by me through this exciting journey. I wouldn't be here without you!

'Escape' will be published under the handle E.L. Dean (sounds very professional doesn't it?!), and as such I'm in the process of setting up a new site to keep all the relevant information in one place. You can find that here: E. L. Dean. At the moment it's under construction, but I'd love it if you'd all go and follow it on bloglovin here. It would honestly mean the world to me.

With that exciting announcement out the way, I can't wait to see what 2015 has to offer! How about you, do you have any exciting resolutions or goals?

That's amazing Emma! Congratulations! My mum is also a published author so I have somewhat of an understanding of how much work goes into it. You should be so proud of yourself! Writing articles and website content is what I do for a living but I'd love to write a novel one day. Can't wait to read your book - I've followed your new blog on Bloglovin. xo
