Makeup Revolution Haul!

So I've been a little quiet lately, sorry guys! At the start of the new year I was offered a new job, and since then I've effectively quadrupled my hours. And because of this, I've been coming home exhausted and just crawling straight into bed - so my blog has had to take a bit of a backseat!

Anyway, this post comes to you late rather than never - after Christmas I couldn't resist helping myself to some Makeup Revolution goodies. I somehow managed to justify it as I needed a brush cleaner for obvious reasons, and everything else just seemed like a bonus...

One of the first things to go into my shopping basket was this beauty. Normally £20, the 144 eyeshadow palette was reduced down to £10 and I knew I had to have it! I mean, just look at all those beautiful colours...

Makeup Revolution - 'Mermaids vs Unicorns' Eyeshadow Palette
Another thing that I couldn't wait to get was the 'Mermaids vs Unicorns' palette. Ever since the release of it I was desperate to get my hands on it, but sadly the superdrug stores near me never stocked it! So far I've made a pretty rockin' look with the 'mermaids' side of the palette - the colours are gorgeous and really pigmented, and at such a bargain price.

It's no secret that Makeup Revolution lipsticks are highly affordable - at £1 each I couldn't resist a little splurge. And as they don't break the bank, I figured I'd leap out of my comfort zone with some of the darker shades, aptly labelled 'vamp' shades. '100% Vamp' is a gorgeous deep purple shade, which actually looks a lot darker than the photo shows. However 'Rebel with Cause' is probably my favourite - it's another 'vamp' shade, but it's lighter and much more of a plum shade. Of course, with 'Lady', a girl can never have enough red lipsticks. And 'Dazzle' was just too cute to resist.

I couldn't resist these beauts when I saw them at only £1.99 each on the website! Is it just me, or do Makeup Rev come up with the best names for products out there? Adding to my ever growing lip obsession I have (yet another) gorgeous red in the 'I Sold Out' lipstick, and a lovely deep shade in 'Totally Not Boring'. My favourite out of these three has to be the 'Barbie is Jealous' shade - I mean just look at it! It is definitely the typical 'Barbie' shade, and it's perfect. I think I'm in love!

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love nail polishes - so when I saw an offer online for a collection for £5, and an extra one for free, I knew it was meant to be! All the colours are beautiful, and not too bright - which makes them perfect for these cold months.

I've been after a brush cleaner for what feels like forever, so when I saw Makeup Rev had their own for only £4 I just had to try it out. Since purchasing I've used it a few times now, and let me tell you - it's amazing! Keep your eye out for my review coming soon :)

Makeup Revolution Vivid Blush Lacquer in 'Heat' and 'Desire'
I never used to bother with blusher before, I'd literally just smack some foundation on my face and off I went. However, since using Benefit's Majorette blusher I've been completely converted. I actually brought one of these on a whim in superdrug, and when I placed an order on the website I was actually sent another one in a different shade as a free gift...oops. I can't actually see much difference in the shades, one is slightly darker but I don't think it would be that noticeable. Oh well, a girl can never have too much makeup right?

As an added extra, makeup rev were offering a free gift bundle worth £10 when you spend £20 or more. Obviously I needed no prodding and went for this straight away! 3 of the items were these lipglosses - beautiful colours, and I can't wait to give them a try.

Another beautiful eyeshadow palette to add to my collection! All the colours in this are gorgeous neutral shades, and I can't believe this was a free gift. It's so stunning and the names are perfect - I have to say 'Missing a Beat' and 'Catch Your Eye' are my favourite shades at the moment!
