When Real Techniques released their new make-up brushes, I was instantly excited. What girl doesn't love make-up brushes, and with a bold metal finish no less?
First of all, the packaging looks stunning and high end. Each brush is packaged separately, and priced between £10-£25. Choosing between all the brushes was hard, but eventually I decided upon two platinum eyeshadow brushes (200 - Oval Shadow, 201 - Pointed Crease) and a rose gold contour brush (301 - Flat Contour).
200 - RT Oval Shadow Brush
The size of this brush is perfect for covering the eyelid, and just right for a single stroke application. It's slightly tapered, making it easy to reach into the corner of the eye and apply product. Alternatively, it could even be used for concealer - to nudge it into those pesky areas under the eye! The bristles are soft and light, meaning they don't feel like they're scratchy at the eyelid like some other, cheaper brushes I've used in the past.
201 - RT Pointed Crease Brush
This brush works perfectly for me to get into the crease. There's a pointed tip which picks up enough product, and the rounded edges work well with this to blend the colour seamlessly into the crease of the eye. This is the one product that I'm blown away with when it comes to defining my eyes!
301 - RT Flat Contour Brush
I'd never really heard of contouring before I got into blogging - but now I literally have no idea how I survived for so long without it. And this brush helps me perfectly! Like the eyeshadow brushes the bristles are incredibly soft and help blend product perfectly into the skin. Ideally, the brush is flat which helps get under the cheekbones to create the perfect shadow, and is thick enough to create the a shadow that's not too thick.
Overall, each brush is exceptional to use for their own purposes. The handles are weighted to optimize performance, and shaped to fit the users hand comfortably. My only slight issue with these brushes is that they feel more plastic-y, which when they're marketed at such a high price I just expected something a little more worth the price tag. However, with how useful they are it's something that doesn't bother me too much!
How about you, do you own any of the Bold Metal Collection? Let me know in the comments below.

I want to try these brushes so much, had my eye on the 200 brush but now you have convinced me to get the other two as well. (regardless of the price) I heard that the feel to them isn't that great and you have every right to expect more for the price you pay.

I love the look of the Bold Metal collection, it makes my heart melt everytime I see them! I agree that they look high-end. If I owned them I'd probably be terrified to use them because they're such pretty brushes haha. But I find the soft texture of RT brushes makes make-up application an absolute dream!

They're an absolute dream when it comes to applying make up! I do agree with you though - Sometimes I'm scared to use them, they just look too pretty on my dressing table! xx
It's 100% a staple of my beauty regime now! Haha xx
Haha I'm a master at convincing others to buy more, oops :') They do feel a bit plastic-y, but the actual bristles for applying the makeup, make up for it in my opinion :) xx
