L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusives - The Reds and The Nudes

Dino's Beauty Diary - Make-Up Review - L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusives - The Reds and The Nudes

Recently, I've been such a sucker for lipsticks. I'd never really bothered with them before - I preferred lip glosses and balms over lipsticks. But now that's changed, and my makeup drawer is overflowing with all sorts of shades!

One of my major crushes at the moment comes from L'Oreal Paris - their limited edition Colour Riche Collection Exclusives. L'Oreal has some of the biggest names out there as ambassadors for their brand; Blake Lively, Cheryl Cole, Jane Fonda, Karlie Kloss and Eva Longoria to name a few!

Excitingly, a few of the ambassadors have even brought out their own shades of lipstick for L'Oreal, in bold reds and beautiful nudes. And luckily for me, I managed to get my hands on quite a few of them!

In my mind, there is no such thing as too many red lipsticks. And I've recently grown quite fond of nudes too! I never understood the point of a nude lipstick - my lips are a nude shade afterall, so what sense does it make to use a product for that? But after these shades, it's safe to say I'm converted - I wear a variation of these shades all the time to work!

The Reds

Just look at those beautiful reds! I love Blake Lively, so going for Blake's Red was an obvious choice for me. In addition, I also went for Liya's Red, Julianne's Red and Eva's Red.

Blake's Red.
Blake's Red
I think this shade by far is my favourite of the reds. I mean, just look how gorgeous it looks! Blake's Red is a stunning ruby red colour - it's suited for warm skin tones, but I think I pull it off quite well with how pale I am! It's also a matte shade - normally with matte shades I find them quite drying on my lips, but I'm glad to say that all the Colour Riche lipsticks are surprisingly hydrating.

Eva's Red.
Eva's Red
This shade really suprised me, as it actually looks a lot darker before application. It's more of a brick red shade for warmer tones, and it looks quite orange-y in colour to me. I think its a lovely shade, but I imagine it will look better when I have a tan (come on May, I can't wait for my holiday!).

Julianne's Red.
Julianne's Red
Julianne's red is a shade that seems perfect for me - it's more flattering for cooler skin tones and I think it looks amazing. This easily has to be my next favourite after Blake's Red - normally I hate how pale I am, but I think this shade flatters my skin tone and doesn't make me feel ridiculously pale!

This is another shade I think is more flattering for paler skin tones - it's a bright scarlet red which looks only slightly paler than Julianne's version. Finally I've found some red shades which look so flattering!

The Nudes

Back to what I said before - when I believed nude lips were pointless? Well if you're like I was, let me convert you to my new way of thinking! Just look at those gorgeous shades! I went for Doutzen's Nude, Julianne's Nude and Eva's Nude.

This shade is also named as 'barely pink' and I can see why. It's not a solid block of colour, but rather adds a sheer touch of pink to the lips, so it's not too overwhelming and in your face. It's perfect for every day use and looks incredibly flattering.

Julianne's Nude.
Julianne's Nude
Julianne's version is a slightly more peach colour, and is more flattering for those of a paler nature like me! And here was me thinking pale skin was a curse! It's a delicate touch of colour again, but looks more sophisticated in my opinion.

Eva's Nude.
Eva's Nude
Eva's has to be my favourite of the nudes (that I own so far anyway, hehe). The colour is a silky, golden nude and would add a gorgeous sun-kissed touch to any complexion. This is by far the favoured nude in my lipstick collection at the moment, I just can't stop wearing it and I feel more confident with this baby on my lips!

Overall, the Colour Riche Collection Exclusives are a remarkable line of lipsticks in my eyes. The packaging on all of them looks sophisticated and sleek, and they look a lot more expensive than they actually are. Whilst being hydrating, they also have fantastic staying power - for me, they lasted all day (including eating and drinking!). I think L'Oreal have really got onto a great idea here by bringing out a line featuring their ambassadors, and I can't wait to see if there's going to be more releases. (FINGERS CROSSED!)

Have you tried any of the Colour Riche Collection Exclusive shades? If so let me know your thoughts below! :)

Ho.ly. Moly. I don't think the reds ever came out in Australia (I can't remember having ever seen them), but the nudes came out a few weeks ago and maaaaaan, they look good! I've managed to snap them all up -- too bad if they're not meant for my skintone, I love them all! (Lipstick fiends ftw.) I've been snooping through the UK L'Oreal site, and you guys have a Cheryl and a Liya nude too?! We don't have those here! (WHY, L'OREAL?)

I think all of those shades look absolutely gorgeous on you; it's great that you've found so many shades that you really love!
