I have serious holiday blues. Honestly, I was half tempted to just stick my head in the sand and stay in Turkey forever. But alas, real life called and me and Liam had to get back to reality. However, it's not all doom and gloom! Whilst we were away, inspiration hit and I knew I'd have a few good posts to share with you all. And that's where todays post comes in...my beauty essentials for holiday!
I don't think I've ever realised how much makeup or hair products I used until it came to narrowing it down for a luggage allowance. It sucks, so so bad. With my makeup choice severely limited, I managed to narrow it down to 5 of my best MAC lipsticks. (As a side note, 5 lipsticks is not enough). Anyway, enough babbling from me - here are my top picks for any holiday!
1. Crabtree & Evelyn 'Verbena and Lavender de Provence' Perfume
I picked up this gorgeous little thing at the Crabtree & Evelyn Nottingham Event (post to come soon), and boy am I glad I did. I'm normally not a big fan of lavender, but Crabtree & Evelyn have hit the nail on the head with this scent! It's a perfectly light scent, and you only need a few sprays for the smell to last all long. Definitely one to get if you're after a subtle scent to last all day!
2. MAC 'Strobe Cream' Travel Size
This was recommended to me by Frankie, and I'm so glad I ordered it! It's such a quick fix its unbelievable - my skin felt instantly moisturised and fresh. It even looked a lot healthier too - after spending all day in the sun, this was the best thing to apply to give an extra boost.
3. Benefit 'Hoola' Bronzing Powder
I'm sure every girl who's seriously into her beauty/make-up knows this little beauty! What with me getting an amazing tan on holiday (yeah, I'm only slightly more tanned than a piece of paper but hey), I decided I needed something to help with contouring my face. The brush in the box is perfect to get in the hollow of the cheekbones and create that perfect definition.
4. Lush 'Sea Spray' Hair Mist
I picked this cute little bottle up on a small shopping spree with the girls before the Crabtree & Evelyn event. I'm a huge fan of the 'Big' Shampoo and Conditioner Bar, so I think it was inevitable that this would make its way into my collection. It really helped on holiday with helping to give that 'beach waves' kind of look.
5. MAC 'Velvet Teddy' Matte Lipstick
This is my go-to lipstick, so I knew without a doubt it would find it's way into my makeup bag. In my eyes, it is the perfect nude shade and as such can go with any outfit (or bikini I guess!).
6. Zoeva 'Rose Gold' Makeup Brush Set
With all my other make-up bits and bobs, I obviously needed some amazing brushes to apply it all otherwise it would have been quite pointless! The Zoeva Rose Gold brushes are a stunning set of brushes in my eyes, and you can find my full review here.
7. Lush 'Bubblegum' Lip Scrub
I don't know if it's just me, but I find that my lips go horribly dry when I'm on holiday. Maybe it's the warmth combined with the sea air, but either way one of my biggest peeves is chapped lips. Afterall, you can't apply flawless lipstick with chapped lips! The 'Bubblegum' lip scrub is my favourite, it tastes so sweet and sugary that you can't help licking your lips afterwards.

it always seems like going on vacation means bringing all your lipsticks -- you'll never know what you'll want to take! velvet teddy is gorgeous, though. it'll go with everything.

In the end, with the lipsticks I brought at Duty Free, I took about 7 haha! Velvet Teddy was the perfect choice as it went with every outfit! xx
