You know that feeling of excitement once you get through all the stages of an airport, and realise there's only a plane journey between you and your destination? Well when Liam took me to Turkey a couple of weeks ago, that feeling was heightened tenfold when I got to duty free at Birmingham Airport. To my surprise and excitement, there is a MAC in duty free! And as it's duty free, it's quite a bit cheaper. Contain your excitement guys!!
I have to put it out there, the women at the MAC duty free were absolutely delightful. And believe me, that's a rare occasion for a MAC store in my opinion - if you're from Nottingham you'll know exactly what I mean! I just couldn't write a post without pointing out how genuinely helpful and polite these women were. Anyway, lets get on to the items I went for (and believe me, I could have pretty much brought out the entire shop).
MAC 'Wash and Dry' Lipstick in 'Créme d'Nude' - Usually £17.00
Lipsticks are officially my weakness, especially where MAC is concerned. I was so gutted when I missed out on the Cinderella collection, so when the assistant told me the 'Wash and Dry' collection was being released in the duty free before anywhere else, I was ecstatic. Créme d'Nude is described as a 'light beige-pink nude' and has a cremesheen finish. On application, it doesn't give a full coverage of colour, but adds a rather light tint of colour. My only slight problem is that it tends to highlight any imperfection such as chapped lips, so it definitely requires exfoliation beforehand.
MAC 'Huggable Lipcolour' in 'Soft Talkin'' - Usually £18.00
Another range that is limited edition, the huggable lipcolours give a sculpted finish to lips. For some reason I'm completely obsessed with nude colours at the moment, and I think it has something to do with getting away with wearing them at work. Soft Talkin' has a gorgeous peach tone to it, with a soft pearl undertone. For me, it adds a bit of warmth to my complexion and I love how it flatters my skintone.
MAC 'Wash and Dry' Studio Sculpt Defining Bronzing Powder in 'Delicates' - Usually £25.00
Recently I've been getting more and more into bronzers, especially where contouring is concerned. As much as I'm loving my Benefit 'Hoola', a girl can never have too many options in her make-up bag. Right? And in all honesty, I'm super excited that my Mac collection is starting to grow!
I'm so happy with my purchases, even more so as I got them a little bit cheaper thanks to duty free! What do you think? What items would you have gone for?

That bronzer is gorgeous! I was in Duty Free a few weeks ago and picked up a couple of MAC bits, one of which was a Huggable lipstick. I picked the shade, 'I'm In' which is fairly similar to the shade you opted for - a sort of nudey pink. I've been really feeling more subtle lip colours lately and I love the formula of the Huggable collection. Enjoy your new purchases my dear :) x
