Crabtree & Evelyn 'Verbena and Lavender de Provence'

Not too long ago, with some of my favourite blog girlies, I had the chance to attend the 'Garden Celebration' event hosted by my local Crabtree & Evelyn. There was an endless list of things I could have splurged on in the store let me tell you! After a lot of umming and ahhing, I finally decided on something from their new range; the 'Verbena and Lavender de Provence'. 

Creating a magical scent to last all day long. Our cologne has been created to subtly scent the skin with just a few sprays of this light fragrance. This light and easy to wear fragrance has been created with French lemon verbena and lavender essential oils blended with notes of cedarwood, white amber and tonka bean to create an uplifting scent. Perfect for both day and evening wear; by men and women alike.

The packaging for the perfume is understated, yet in my opinion beautiful. The outer packaging is simply cardboard with the item information on the front, yet the actual bottle is something else. Made from clear glass, it's not too heavy in the hand and has the 'Crabtree and Evelyn' written into the glass on each side. I chose to go for the bigger bottle size of 100ml at £35, as at the time the store had a 1/3 off selected ranges. I actually ended up getting this and a tub of the body lotion for around £38 altogether, which is a pretty good deal!

This is unlike any other perfume I've ever used before, in the fact that its combination of scents makes it usable for both men and women. With top notes of lemon and lavender, it gives a sweet scent at first. However with base notes of sandalwood, it gives a lasting and fresh scent.

I have to say that this is one of those scents that is just perfect for me, especially in these hotter months. I actually took this on holiday with me to Turkey, and it was the perfect scent to wear both on the beach and at night! And as it's suitable for both men and women, Liam did steal a bit here and there so it has his stamp of approval too!

I'm so impressed with this scent and I honestly can't get enough of the 'Verbena and Lavender' range. I'd say lasting time is around about 4 hours before it starts to wear off slightly, so I only have to reapply this once when I'm at work really. I've been using this ever since the meet, and I still have most of the bottle left too, as you only need a couple of sprays.
