What's In My Beach Bag? With Boohoo*

Summer is the time of beer gardens, festivals, and beach getaways. With that in mind, when BooHoo contacted me asking if I wanted to do a collaboration with them, I was excited. And after my holiday to Turkey with Liam back in May, I knew I'd have no trouble selecting my beach bag essentials.

Boohoo.com is one of the now well recognised online retailers, giving us the latest fashion and trends at an affordable price. I can still remember looking on the boohoo website when it first began - I'd spend ages looking through all the different clothes, shoes and accessories with envy, and umming and ahhing over them all.

Notepad and Pen

The first thing that I always take with me to the beach is a notepad and pen - inspiration can hit anywhere! I love writing and I always carry something to jot my ideas down on - be it for my novel or a blog post idea. On the odd occasion I'll take a book to read too - more often than not though, a nice, calm beach is the perfect setting for some writing!

Boohoo Golden Hair Crown*

What girl doesn't love her accessories?! And just because you're on a beach doesn't mean you can't glam it up, especially with this stunning hair accessory. I had a bit of trouble with this at first as I couldn't actually figure out how to put this on properly (I'm useless I know). However, after a lot of struggle, I managed to figure it out, and this baby looks stunning with a black bikini!

Topshop Sunglasses

Sunglasses are a must for any sunny vacation, and my favourite is this beauty from Topshop. They've treated me well these babies - I've had them for years, ever since I was in sixth form! Protecting your eyes is vital in sunny weather - plus they may help you have a cheeky nap if you're lucky enough!

Hawaiian Tropic Dry Spray Oil Factor 8

As well as sunglasses, sun tan lotion is a vital beach bag item in order to protect your skin from the damaging effect of the sun. Whilst you may want an amazing tan from any time you spend under the suns rays, it should not be at the detriment of your health. Protect your skin at all costs ladies! I typically start off with a high factor 30 lotion at the beginning of my holiday, before lowering it down as the days pass, ending on the last day with a factor 8 oil. 

Victoria's Secret 'Sheer Love' Body Mist

Having mentioned sun tan lotion, this body mist by Victorias Secret is another item that is crucial to my beach bag. Sun tan lotion doesn't exactly smell the best and I'm not too keen on it at all - so as well as the lotion, I like to take this gorgeous spray with me. I actually won this (as well as the notebook) in a giveaway on the amazing See The Stars Blog. Since receiving it, I genuinely can't stop using it, and it has a stunning fresh and cheerful fragrance which is perfect for the beach.

Tangle Teezer

It's a well known fact that beaches are horrifically windy. And if you have long hair like me, it can make maintaining that hair a nightmare. That's why my Tangle Teezer is a staple product in my beach bag - it tackles those terrible knots without being painful, and makes tying my hair back an easy feat in the wind.

Technic Lip Gloss*

Even with my eyes hiding behind my sunnies, I still feel naked without any makeup on. So a small product for my lips is something I always carry - it makes my lips feel nice and soft with a touch of sheen. It's also a perfect item to take to the beach as if it comes off after a quick dip to cool down, it can be easily reapplied without need for a mirror.

Iphone & Headphones

Like everyone in my generation, I will hold my hands up and say it is very difficult for me to be separated from my phone. However, it does come in very handy on the beach - normally beforehand I'll upload all my favourite albums onto my phone for me to shuffle through when I'm working on a tan.

Boohoo Sunhat

Being quite a pale/fair person, I usually keep a hat or something in my bag incase I can feel my face or scalp burning up. And this cute hat from Boohoo is perfect for beach outings - its fashionable and comfortable, so I can now refrain from hiding in the shade or under my towel.

Boohoo Pink Beachbag*

Of course, none of the stuff matters if I don't have a bag to stick it all in! This cute pink bag from boohoo is the perfect size to fit the slightly larger than normal hat and all my smaller items in. Normally I reuse one of my old tote bags, but I never manage to squeeze everything in together. The bag is quite sturdy too, as well as thickly lined - so no sand would manage to make its way inside if it were zipped up on the ground.
