A while back now, I had the pleasure of attending an event at Lush to showcase their new product launches and some Oxford Street exclusives that have been rolled out. There's so many new products in both bath and shower, hand and foot, and so, so much more.
Huge Lush addicts like myself will remember the Oxford Street store opening - and it's huge list of store exclusives. On a trip down to London for our anniversary, I actually dragged Liam into the flagship store (lucky him) and had a chance to browse the hundreds of exclusive items (lucky me). However, plenty of people have been eagerly waiting for the day when some of the items would be rolled out into other stores, and that day has finally hit. Give me a hip, hip, hip hooray!

Shower Gels, Shower Creams, Shower Jellies, Shower Smoothies and Body Scrubs
There are brand new scents in the form of shower gels, which are a bit thicker than the shower creams, starting with the beautiful deep green 'Don't Rain On My Parade' Shower Gel. With a combination of blueberry juice, vanilla and violet leaf infusion, it's hard not to get suckered in by this intoxicating gel. The 'Beautiful' Shower Gel is a warm, musky shower gel, with an intoxicating myrrh bringing warmth to the peach and apricot combination, to make you feel beautiful both inside and out. Last but not least is the catchy named 'Wash That Man Right Out Of My Hair' Shower Gel, lathering up like all the gels with only a small drop. With an amazing combination of ingredients such as lavender, jasmine flower and rose petal blended with jasmine and ylang ylang, it's difficult not to love this gel.
Three new shower jellies have been rolled out in stores, and they smell fantastic! Kitty was brilliant in helping me on shower jellies, and told me you can even use the entire thing, or break bits off for use instead. Plus, you can put these babies in the freezer first, so when it's used in the shower its refreshing, and stimulates circulation! One of my favourite new jellies has to be the bright, christmas green 'Needles and Pines' Shower Jelly, which is fantastic when it's been put in the freezer before use! My second favourite (well, I think it's tied with Needles and Pine to be honest) is the bright, sunshine yellow 'Refresher' Shower Jelly. With a gorgeous, uplifting citrus scent, Refresher really reminds me of lemon sherbet sweets from when I was younger! The brilliantly named '93,000 Miles' Shower Jelly is a stunning bold red, and is perfect for use after the gym or any form of exercise. With a combination of eucalyptus and mint to help loosen aches and pains, this jelly is perfect to sooth aching and tired muscles.
Some completely new items are the shower smoothies, which I was completely intrigued by. With a tougher outside and a smooth inside, these lather up quite nicely on the skin. The 'Turkish Delight' Shower Smoothie is full of Damask roses from Turkey, where they have been picked before sunrise to ensure the very best are harvested as the beautiful scent starts to evaporate as the sun rises. Normally I'm not the biggest fan of Turkish Delight, there's just something about it that I don't like, but this roulade smells beautiful and fresh. Plus the second roulade, the 'Dreamwash' Shower Smoothie, has a fantastic combination of calamine and aloe vera to sooth the skin and leave it feeling soft and smooth.
There are two new scrubs with ingredients such as granulated sugar and sea salt. 'The Rough With The Smooth' Body Scrub is a square pink exfoliator, which looks a bit browner in the photos due to the darker lighting in store. However, it is made with granulated sugar to exfoliate, and murumuru butter to sooth and soften the skin. Plus, with a combination of oils such as black pepper oil, patchouli oil and fair trade vanilla absolute, it leaves a delicate scent on the skin. The 'Rub, Rub, Rub' Body Scrub, as well as being a funky rhyme, has a fantastic combination of ingredients to help waken skin. With sea salt, illipe butter and a cherry blossom finish, this is sure to cleanse and wake up the body.
Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars and Bubbleroons
Ah, Lush bath bombs. Aren't they exciting?! Any Lushie knows their way around the bath bombs - from the well known Sex Bomb to the Lord of Misrule at Christmas, you're never short of options. And now a few new bath bombs from the Oxford Street store have made their way into the cut!
Starting with the 'Intergalactic' Bath Bomb, which is a bright blue round bomb, with mixes of yellow, pink and white. Once dropped into water, the bath bomb explodes into different colours as it fizzes away. With peppermint oil and popping candy, the vibrant colours float around with a glittery, lustre finish. The 'Experimenter' Bath Bomb has a unique shape to it, and an again a fantastic mix of colours to give the bath a sort of rainbow look as it fizzes and pops around in the water. The finished result is a bit of a murky colour as a result of the mix of colours, but there is a glitter finish to the water.
Another fantastic bath bomb is the 'Skydancer - Far From The Madding Guns' bath bomb. With a floral scent and bright yellow base which dissolves first, the result is the bird floating around on its own which looks fantastic! Plus, all profits go to charity! The 'Yoga Bomb' Bath Bomb is a simple orange bomb which fizzes slowly in the water, calmly releasing shades of yellow, purple and turquoise. The 'Frozen' Bath Bomb is a personal favourite of mine as it is made all around the Disney hit film Frozen! This bomb looks magical in the water, fizzing white and blue with silver glitter, and a delicate and uplifting scent.
The lovely Stuart took me through the new bath bombs and bubble bars, and there are a couple of new additions to the already extensive range. A new and exciting bubble bar covered in gold glitter, the 'Sunnyside' Bubble Bar will leave baths swimming in a sheer gold glimmer. 'A French Kiss' is the perfect bubble bar to use before going to bed, as the soothing rosemary and lavender will leave you feeling blissful. 'Granny Takes A Dip' has been reformed from a bath bomb to a bubble bar, which I'm sure will please fans, whilst the 'Milky Bath' Bubble Bar is completely new. Snapping the top off and crumbling the rest under a running tap, there's endless bubbles, whilst the top releases cocoa butter to soothe the skin. Another new bubble bar is the 'Pink Flamingo', which is (you guessed it) a bright pink flamingo on a stick to swirl around the bath, filled with fragrant rosewood and ylang ylang. The final bubble bar is the reformulated 'Karma', changed to a deep purple and gold pyramid with the signature exotic orange and patchouli scent.
Bubbleroons have to be my favourite bath time addition, and each of them has been reformulated to increase both the size and style of the product, plus the scent too. My all time favourite, 'Yuzu and Cocoa' is now a much bolder yellow, and like the others, now actually looks like a macaroon. The scent is stronger too, leaving you in a yummy chocolate orange bliss. 'The Green' Bubbleroon gives a gorgeous warm and summery scent, whilst leaving baths bright green under the bubbles. And last but certainly not least, the 'Rose Jam' Bubbleroon is the fan favourite scent which hasn't changed but it has been reformed. Ah, Rose Jam, I miss your shower gel.
Soaps

Of course, it wouldn't be an introduction to new products without some gorgeous soaps! The fantastic Kitty was on soap duty, and boy oh boy does she know her stuff about the newest soaps. In fact, she knows her stuff about everything Lush related to be exact!
I wonder how much it would cost for the entire 'Apandapand' soap? With a fruity, grapefruit smell, it is really hard to resist, and it's limited edition for summer too, so snap it up quick! The 'Devils Nightcap' soap is hard not to notice too, what with it's mossy exterior and earthy scent. Another new soap is 'Maypole', which actually looks like a stick of rock to me! With its pink exterior and green inside, it is definitely funky and has a peppermint air to it.

'Layer Cake' is absolutely fantastic, and is a combination of different fragrances depending on which layer you smell. It's so sweet and juicy, with scents including raspberry, blueberry, orange, white grape and pineapple! 'Serendipity' could pass as another stick of Rock with its deep purple exterior and lilac interior, with a sleepy mix of lavender and chamomile. My absolute favourite has to be the bold purple 'Respect Your Elders', which has a gorgeous blackcurrant scent to it. It's genuinely delicious.
Hand and Foot - New Products
Handcare
As much as I love my job, it is very hands on, and this means at times my hands do suffer. So anything that can make my hands feel silky and soft instead of hard and dry is something I'm always in search of. And thanks to the new releases, I predict baby soft skin in my future.
First up is the 'Salted Coconut' Hand Scrub, which is amazing at getting rid of hardened or dry bits of skin. Coconut has never really been my thing, but in this hand scrub it just works wonders. Followed with the new 'Love and Light' Hand Cream, and you'll surely be in for a treat. With scents such as Brazilian Orange, Orange Blossom and Neroli, it has such a yummy air to it that after use, I can't stop sniffing myself. TMI?
One of my favourite products of the night has to be the new 'Golden Hanshake' Hot Hand Mask. On the night I was actually treated to a bit of a pamper and you wouldn't believe how much product you get out of one of these sticks! You can see in the picture above how covered in product my hand is - so I'd estimate you get enough for at least two people for both hands and arms up to the elbows. Crazy! I guess Liam is going to my my pamper buddy at some point! My hands felt so soft and delicate afterwards that it convinced me to buy two of these on the spot. I'm stocking up, you know?
Footcare
My feet often suffer because...well, I hate feet, and it freaks me out to pretty much even touch them. So I felt really bad for the lovely lady who said she wouldn't mind giving my feet a bit of much needed attention. Thankfully my feet weren't actually that bad, and they definitely felt so much better after a bit of love and attention.
The 'Pumice Powder' Foot Soap works wonders at getting rid of that tough and nasty layer of hard skin some of us get on our feet. I will admit it did tickle at first, but hey, I'm not used to my feet being touched. Followed up with the 'Foot Soak and Fancy Free' Foot Soak, which has a faint hint of lavender and chamomile to it. Half of this was actually broken up into the water to create a kind of foot bubble bath, whilst the other was used against the skin to gently exfoliate.
This was followed up with the 'Softy' Foot Cream, which has marshmallow root and almond oil in to help soften the skin. Followed with 'Twinkle Toes' Foot Powder, and feet will definitely be in the best condition possible. The foot powder is a new favourite product of mine as it leaves a nice glimmer on the skin, and can even be sprinkled in shoes to absorb moisture to freshen them up!
Lush events are always the best, aren't they?! There's something about them that gets me all excited...I think I'm a Lush addict, seriously. The staff at Lush Nottingham are always such a pleasure to talk to and they really know their stuff, I can never praise them enough it seems! I'm completely hooked on some of the newest Lush additions, and now I seriously can't wait until the christmas items launch again! Watch this space ;)
I also have to say a serious thank you to all the staff at Lush for having me, and especially to Ellie and Jessica for giving me a hand and foot pamper. I felt so relaxed and at ease afterwards it was definitely something I was in need of.
How about you? Have you tried any of the new product launches yet? If so, which is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below!
