Ah, I love a good blogger meet, don't you? A while back now, Becka (from the blog Becka Shepherd) hosted the #NottsBloggerMeet15 in Nottingham city centre. I love it when events are hosted in Nottingham as it's quick for me to get to, and it's something different to all the ones that are hosted down in London.

After meeting some other bloggers at the train station, we headed on up to Lush where everyone was meeting for the day to begin. Once we headed inside and were hit with the familiar fragrance of Lush, we were each introduced to the team that would be with us and showing us a few of the reformed products.

First we were shown the remade 'Creamy Candy' bubble bar, which is now more of a deep pink with a stronger scent. The lovely team even went a step beyond and informed us that they had got the set up for us all to make our own 'Creamy Candy' bar to take home with us!

In groups of 3/4 we took it in turns to mix the ingredients together, before dividing it up and moulding it together. The staff told us that it would be best to leave the product to set for around 24 hours before using, so you can imagine how much work has to go into creating all the products if they have to sit for that long first!

Next up, we were given a look at the newest redesigned products before having a few minutes to browse and do a little bit of shopping. We were handed around the items to have a sniff at, as whilst the size and shape of the products was changed, some of the scents were tweaked too. Most of the redesigns are bubble bars, such as; 'A French Kiss' (here),  'Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds' (here), 'The Green' (here), 'Karma' (here), 'Rose Jam' (here), 'Sunnyside' (here) and 'Yuzu and Cocoa' (here).

After demonstrating each of the redesigned bubble bars (I'm even more in love with Yuzu and Cocoa now), we were then shown some of the reformulated shampoo bars. If you've never used a shampoo bar before, I strongly recommend that you head out and change that, now. They're fantastic. The redesigned shampoo bars were designed to match some of the perfumes Lush have in store, and the bars are: 'Honey I Washed My Hair' (here), Montalbano (here) and 'Soak and Float' (here).

These shampoo bars weren't even out in the store yet, so we were super lucky to be given a preview of them! Even more generously, we were told that we could pick one of the bars to take home with us as a little gift! After what felt like forever umming and ahhing between them all, I settled on 'Honey I Washed My Hair', which has a yummy toffee like scent. I can't wait to put it to good use - thank you so much Lush!

After we'd finished (and by finished I mean spent up) at Lush, we had about an hour to kill before we headed off for lunch. With a recently opened Kiko cosmetics in Victoria Centre, it was pretty obvious that we'd be headed there sooner or later!

When we'd done spending an eternity in Kiko drooling over makeup (well, not literally anyway), we headed on over to Jamie's Italian, where Becka had organised and decorated a private room with balloons and gift bags for us all.

It was great to get to sit down with a group of bloggers and get to know people I hadn't spoken to much before. I love it when events are more focused on interactions between bloggers too, instead of being more focused on brands.

After we'd finished our meals, Becka informed us that we would each get a balloon and a tag to tie a message on for someone we'd lost, before releasing them outside in memory. I thought this was a really sweet touch, and we were all eager to get involved.

A massive thank you to Becka for all the effort you put into the event - it really paid off and the day was fantastic, honestly can't thank you enough! And a big thanks to all the staff at Lush for giving us the chance to make our own bubble bar and generally being their friendly selves!
