If you hadn't guessed, I'm a bit obsessed with candles. I love my little wax melts and how they can make our apartment smell fantastic. There's a small stockpile of wax melts and candles on our bookcases, so we're never going to run out. Or maybe I'm just a hoarder?
'Cremé Brulée' Scent Melt (Melt Crowd Preview)
This baby is a melt crowd preview, and I actually can't wait for this to be released; it smells fantastic! I could smell this all day long, and its so mouthwatering it actually makes me a tad hungry. The melt also smells quite homey that it actually makes me feel nice and cozy.
'Earl Grey Tea & Cucumber' Scent Melt
Fresh and cool, 'Earl Grey Tea & Cucumber' is a green floral fragrance opening with tea leaves, cardamon and coriander alongside fragrant bergamot, lemon and mandarin. Followed by watery florals and crisp cucumber, supported by a delicate base of amber, musk and precious woods.
When I first saw that cucumber was included in this melt, I was a tad curious. I'm not a cucumber fan and I just couldn't see it working, especially with tea. However it weirdly pays off - this isn't the strongest smelling melt, but when you do catch it, it's quite uplifting and fresh.
'White Lilac & Rhubarb' Scent Melt
Floral and fruity, 'White Lilac & Rhubarb' fragrance opens with green apple and sweet rhubarb notes, followed by rose, lily and lilac and violet on a base of musk.
When Liam first took a sniff of this melt, his immediate reaction was not a good one. It's quite an overpowering smell, but I quite like it! It's nice and fresh with a small hint of rhubarb in there, but altogether it smells like a nice fresh soap in my opinion!
'Grapefruit, Orange & Lemon Peel' Scent Melt (Melt Crowd Exclusive)
This melt is a melt box exclusive, and that makes me so sad! I love how fruity it is and I seriously can't stop sniffing at it as I write about it. The grapefruit, orange and lemon peel work together so well that I don't think I can burn it just yet as I'll be so sad when it's all gone! Please make this into a jar candle Flamingo Candles!
'Circus: Candy Floss' Scent Melt
Oh my, where do I start with my favourite melt of the box? If you're a melt crowd subscriber yourself, you may remember the 'Circus: Doughnuts' from the August box; and if you loved that one, you'll most certainly enjoy this one! As I mentioned before, the Circus range of candles are being released today - so keep an eye out for this gorgeous candle! It smells so sweet and like it should be edible; that's how much it smells like candy floss!
'Rose & Marshmallow' Scent Melt
Floral and sugary, 'Rose & Marshmallow' is the ultimate sweet combination. Base notes of sandalwood, musk, rose and orchid blend with fruity mandarin, cherry and raspberry and creamy vanilla, coconut and marshmallow.
This has quite a yummy and floral scent, which is actually really pleasing. Normally I'm not big on floral, but this melt has hit it just right. There's also a hint of raspberry and vanilla, and anything that includes vanilla is automatically given points in my eyes. I'm definitely buying this one in candle form.
'Jamaican Café & Walnut' Scent Melt
Rich and sultry 'Jamaican Café & Walnut' is a hypnotising infusion of freshly ground, lightly roasted coffee beans sprinkled with crunchy walnut and a dusting of the finest smooth cocoa.
I'm really not sure what to think about this one. The website lists it as coffee, walnut and cocoa, but I'm not sure what I can smell in this melt. It's definitely a deeper, muskier scent than any of the others I've gotten so far. Liam likes this one though, so it's definitely going to be used at some point.
'Lemon & Lime Mojito' Scent Melt
This is quite a yummy citrusy melt, which isn't normally my taste but I can't help but like it. Whilst it's not exactly one of my favourites in this box, it does make me crave a little mojito!
Overall this months box was pretty good, but I still think my first box was the best so far. There were a few melts in the box which really took my fancy, such as 'Circus: Candy Floss', 'Cremé Brulée', 'Grapefruit, Orange & Lemon Peel' and 'Rose and Marshmallow', so I can't wait to give these bad boys a try!
