It's getting to that time of year again - Christmas! And with the nights coming quicker and getting darker sooner, there's nothing I love more than whacking on a gorgeous melt and basking in its aroma. Plus, thanks to Flamingo Candles, there's now such a wide variety of fragrances for me to choose from. What's not to love about that?
This month, subscribers to The Melt Crowd are given not one, but two melt crowd exclusives, and boy they are exciting ones. One word: Christmas. Yes, that's it - Christmas melts! I can barely contain my excitement as it is. And this months box I could smell as it fell through the letterbox - a gorgeous, sweet mixture of scents that kind of remind me of baking. Yummy.
This month, the scents are:
'Warm Vanilla Sugar' Scent Melt (Exclusive) - First of all, who doesn't love Vanilla? For some reason, it always makes me hungry (probably because whenever I bake cakes I always add a ton of vanilla flavouring). This one is an exclusive and that makes me pretty sad - it is probably the best melt for filling a room with a gorgeous, warm scent and I'll be gutted when I've used it all up.
'Christmas Tree-O' Scent Melt (Preview) - This melt is a preview of the new Christmas range, and I'm still unsure of what I think of it. It has hints of sweet notes, with a dominant spicy base that kind of reminds me of cinnamon.
'Violet & Lime' Scent Melt - There's a hearty note of sandalwood to this melt, and that's why I'm starting to warm to it. It smells similar to the Parma Violets melt, but with a warmer, less powdery middle.
Bah! Humbug Scent Melt (Preview) - This melt is my second favourite of the box as it smells exactly like humbug sweets (obviously). It has such a strong peppermint air about it and I immediately fell in love. And of course, its Christmassy too as it also reminds you of candy canes!
'Blackcurrant Jam' Scent Melt - This melt is such a sweet and strong berry scent, it's hard not to be intoxicated by it. It's reminiscent of blackcurrant ice lollies from my childhood, or some sweet jam swiped on toast.
'Darjeeling Tea' Scent Melt - With a fresh, uplifting scent, Darjeeling Tea makes its way into one of my favourites of the box. It reminds me of the Fresh Cotton melt from my first box. Darjeeling Tea is definitely a homey, welcoming scent that would uplift anyone who gets a sniff.
'Blackberry & Bay Leaf' Scent Melt - A fresh and floral kind of scent, it slightly reminds me of a soap. A good soap that is, and it is pretty similar to the Jo Malone Cologne of the same name.
'Parma Violets' Scent Melt - First of all, I have to say, YES! Ever since signing up to TMC, I've constantly been saying that I was hoping for this melt so I could get a taste before I brought the full size candle. Parma Violets are my favourite sweets ever and they smell so good! And this melt manages to perfectly capture that; props to you Flamingo Candles, I love you guys. This is 100% my favourite and I could go on about it all day.
Overall, this months box is 100% my favourite yet - it's perfect! I could rave about this and Parma Violets all day. Each box seems to be getting better and better as it goes along, so I'd definitely recommend signing up to it if you're a huge candle/wax melt fanatic.
So what do you think would be your favourite from this months box? Or are you signed up already and have that favourite you've fallen in love with? Let me know in the comments below!
