The Melt Crowd | Spring Edition (April 2016)

Melt Crowd, The Melt Crowd, #MeltCrowd, Flamingo Candles, Candles, Wax Melts, Spring, April 2016, April

Spring is officially here! We're now out of the cold winter weather and officially on our way to a nice, toasty and fun summer. Well, as much of a summer as England will get anyway! Honestly, over the past few nights it has been pretty chilly, so I'm still struggling to believe that winter is technically over. I'm going to miss the thick and cozy coats, or wrapping up in my comfy hat and scarf for the walk to work - the sun has already started to make an odd appearance here and there in the early mornings!

With that in mind, I have to say that this months Melt Crowd box from Flamingo Candles hits the nail on the head when it comes to all things Spring. If there ever were a number of different fragrances to best relate to a season, then the April Spring Edition Melt Crowd box is definitely it. Boy oh boy are you in for a treat with this baby!

Oh by the way - this month marks my 9 month anniversary as a Melt Crowd subscriber, wahey! You know what they say - time flies when you're having fun!

'Sparkling Diamonds' Scent Melt (Exclusive) - I have to admit, when I first saw this in the box I was very intrigued and it definitely caught my eye. A box exclusive, 'Sparkling Diamonds' has a sweet, delicate touch to it with a slightly muskier undertone. I'm pretty gutted this is only an exclusive because I could definitely see myself buying it again in candle form.

'April Showers' Scent Melt (Exclusive) - Another Melt Crowd exclusive, this melt is so gorgeous and refreshing. At first I wasn't sure what to think of it, but hey, it's grown on me. Suitably dubbed 'April Showers', there is a slight sweet tinge to its smell underneath the fresh and uplifting tones.

'Strawberry Cream Tea' Scent Melt - Chances are, if you slap strawberry in pretty much anything scent or taste wise, I will love it (well, within reason). And this melt is no exception - it's mouthwatering! It has that gorgeous fruity tone to it which I just can't get enough of, plus a creamy hint throughout - just think of the classic Wimbledon treat of strawberries and cream and you're spot on the mark! I'm not sure where the tea in this melt is as I couldn't really smell it myself, but then again I'm probably just too excited about the strawberry smell to pinpoint anything else.

'Spring Bloom' Scent Melt (Exclusive) - I love it when Flamingo Candles do special melts for different occasions, it just seems like there's an extra special touch to the box. This melt has such gorgeous floral notes to it, and it's definitely the perfect melt to sum up the entire box in one go. It actually reminds me of some of the Jo Malone colognes it smells that good!

'English Pear & Freesia' Scent Melt (Exclusive) - Wow there's a fair few exclusives in this box, how exciting! Nice and refreshing, 'English Pear & Freesia' is a beautifully uplifting scent. With a delicate trace of pear, I'd definitely say the floral tones are more dominant in this melt, plus I swear I caught a whiff of freshly cut grass! Anyone else?

'WILD Dewberry' Scent Melt (Preview) - Flamingo Candles always know how to draw in the crowds with their new and exciting ranges, and this range is no different. The new 'WILD' range is inspired by the 90s, and includes four exciting new scents: 'Dewberry', 'Strawberry Millions', 'Lemon Alcopop' and 'White Musk'. 'Dewberry' has such a gorgeous and zesty air about it that it's hard not to be drawn in by it - fans of strong citrusy melts will definitely love this new addition. Personally, I can't wait to get my hands on (you guessed it) 'Strawberry Millions'!

'Sweet Peanuts' Scent Melt (Preview) - One of my favourite melts from this months box, I'm actually so gutted that this is an exclusive. 'Sweet Peanuts' has such a rich and sugary scent to it, and it honestly reminds me of peanut M&M's or peanut butter sandwiches (slap it on with some jam and you have one of my favourite snacks right there). So yeah, every time I smell it it makes me a little hungry - please make this into a candle guys, I'm begging you!

'Raspberry & Salted Caramel' Scent Melt - Ah, yes!! I first got my hands on this melt in the January box at the start of this year as an extra little gift for being a Melt Crowd subscriber for 6 months, and I've been head over heels in love with it ever since. With notes of caramel and vanilla to start, this melt honestly makes me a little hungry every time I smell it. The raspberry is a subtle undertone, but works surprisingly well with the other sweet notes. This melt honestly has to be in my top 3 melts so far, I love it that much.

9 Months - 'Créme Brulee' Scent Melt - Yet another favourite of mine, 'Créme Brulee' is another melt that makes me seriously hungry. Can you see a running theme here? This was an extra little melt for me as April marks my 9th month as a melt crowd subscriber - it feels insane to say that! Anyway, this melt has a gorgeous, homey kind of aroma to it - I can definitely see myself kicking back and relaxing whilst this is burning. It makes me feel all warm and cozy and it'd be perfect for burning on a cooler night and snuggling up under a blanket to relax.

This months box has been such a wide variety of different melts, and no two melts are really alike. I can honestly say that there hasn't really been a melt in this box that I'm not really a fan of either - which can sometimes be tricky because I'm normally a very picky person! Overall, with 2 melts that I've had before and loved, plus a variety of exclusives and even a preview, this months box could be hard to follow up next month. However I have no doubt that Flamingo Candles will be able to top it!

I'm already counting down the days until the May box is dispatched - how about you? Are you a Melt Crowd subscriber (im)patiently counting down until the next box too? What are your thoughts on this months box? Or are you debating signing up yourself? Let me know in the comments below!
