Sometimes after a long hard day at work, there is honestly nothing better than coming home and letting yourself completely unwind. For me, that means getting straight into a nice hot shower and letting the water wash the day away. Things have been hectic at work recently, and it constantly feels like I'm going 100 miles per hour trying to get everything sorted before it gets on top of me. So when the day is over, I am definitely in serious need of a pick me up!
When it comes to relaxation and 'me-time', one of my top go-to brands has to be No7. A brand I've loved for years, No7 have certainly made a name for themselves when it comes to skincare. With different product ranges determined by skin type as well as age, it's obvious that they are pretty much at the forefront of beauty. Add to that the reshaping and redesigning of products, and you definitely have one of the best brands when it comes to keeping up with the times.
As one of the brands most recent re-designs, the relatively new 'Indulgent Bodycare' range has a bright and eye-catching new design to it, making it stand out among other products. No7 always tend to hit the nail on the head for me when it comes to skincare products, and I can even say that I don't think I've ever had a disappointing product from them before. Kudos!
As well as the recent redesign of the packaging, it seems the products themselves have had a little change too. And trust me, it hasn't gone un-noticed! I've seen a fair few complaints regarding the changes to the 'Blissful Body Wash', with people upset over the changes to the products fragrance. And most of the comments seem to be along the lines of 'if it's not broke, don't fix it'.
For me, whilst I have always loved the unique and comforting scent that comes with No7 products, I am pretty happy with the change (which I think puts me in the minority). That's not to say that I have anything against their signature scent though - in fact that has to be one of the things I love about the brand the most. Change is always nice and refreshing, and whilst I am a bit upset that the older products are no longer available if you don't like the newer versions, I am pretty impressed with the subtle change.
The 'Perfecting Body Polish' has to be the stand out product for me here, its fantastic at giving my skin a bit of a boost and making it look healthier. It lathers up a dream too, and you hardly need to use a lot as it spreads pretty well. It has a really gritty consistency, making it fantastic for scrubbing at the skin - it always gets rid of those tough dry spots for me, especially on my arms, and it's not too harsh on the skin either. The scent is pretty intriguing too - as I said before I have always loved their signature scent, and this product seems to build on that by adding some delicate citrus notes. It's certainly something different!
Recently I've been using the 'Blissful Body Wash' afterwards, and boy do they work well as a team. Like the body polish, the body wash is quite thick and lathers up well, without being drying like some shower products can be. Once dried off my skin was left feeling lovely and soft, with the scent still lingering afterwards. Compared to the body polish scent, the wash seemed to smell a lot stronger which would probably be my only downside. The polish seemed to hit it just right in regards to the smell, but the body wash has stepped over that mark and seems to be a bit strong for my liking. Other than that though, these two make a fine duo.
Boots always seem to create some fantastic new products to keep up with the times, and they always seem to give you that indulgent and luxurious kind of feel. Putting the overpowering scent of the body wash aside, I do think that these shower products work their best together and really go hand in hand with one another. And once my mini products run out (I received these in the No7 Advent Calendar last year, my favourite one so far), I can definitely see myself investing in the full size products as a little luxury treat.
What are your thoughts on the No7 'Indulgent Bodycare' range? Do you have any favourites? Or maybe you have some other products to recommend? Let me know in the comments below!
