Chapped lips can be a girls worst nightmare. And I'm certainly not a fan! Having seriously bad dry skin can be horrible enough alone, but when you factor in dry lips too you know you've got a bit of a problem that needs sorting. Is there anything worse than dry lips cracking whenever you talk and smile, or when you just move them in general?

It's no secret that my skin in general is a serious nightmare to maintain, and I have to stick to a pretty vigorous skincare routine to keep myself on top of it. Not too long ago I talked about a fantastic couple of products from Lush that were my perfect remedy for dry chapped lips. And whilst I do still love that lipcare combo, I have since come across a few other fantastic lipbalms as a substitute to keep things interesting. And those lipbalms? Well they come to you today from a skincare and beauty company based in South Yorkshire  - Lovely Cosmetics.

A beauty company with strong environmental roots, Lovely Cosmetics make their products from scratch based in Sheffield. With the best quality and ethically sourced ingredients, the majority of which have are local, Lovely Cosmetics are making their making their mark with beautiful and affordable products that everyone will love.

When myself and a couple of other bloggers organised and held the #BloggersUniteSummer15 event in Sheffield last year, the brains behind Lovely Cosmetics we're generous enough to get involved and contribute some of their stunning lip balms. I love how cute the little pots are - they're the perfect size to fit in your handbag for on the go touch ups, and I always pop one in for when I go to work. Recently with the weather getting hotter and hotter, the air conditioning has been cranked up tenfold in-store. I say due to the hot weather, but in reality the air con is always on at work, even in winter - *insert crying face here*. Anyway, it definitely causes havoc when it comes to my lips!

Usually when it comes to mint, I'm generally not a big fan. But in the lovely 'Peppermint Dream' Lip Repair Formula*, something about it just makes it work, and boy is it nourishing. With ingredients such as shea and cocoa butter, it is delicate and soft on the lips, and thanks to a little extra beeswax its staying power is a tad longer than the other balms. Whilst it is a little firmer than the others (making it a teeny bit harder to distribute, but still not really an issue), the ingredients sink in well to nourish lips and give them that chance to repair themselves.

In regards to scent you can definitely tell it is a mint based product, but what I love about it is that it's not too strong or intense. The hint of peppermint is just right, and because it's not too overpowering it doesn't give me a migraine either, which is an added bonus! The product itself isn't too heavy on the lips and gives a slight sheen, as well as a surprisingly delicious hint of peppermint. If your lips need a little pick me up and some slightly intensive work, then this is the balm for you - it repairs dry or chapped lips to pretty much brand new!

My favourite of the lot, the 'Peanut Flutter' Peanut Butter Lip Balm* smells as good as the real thing, and who can resist some scrumptious peanut butter? I know I certainly can't! Peanut butter and jam are my favourite combination when it comes to sandwiches - I think I could actually sit down and eat it for every meal every day of the week, and I still wouldn't get tired of them. In fact, a few years ago when I headed to V Festival and Leeds Festival they were pretty much all I ate (oh, and both festivals were within about just under a week of each other - boy was I glad to get back to my nice comfy bed afterwards!).

Anyway, this lip balm has quickly worked its way up my list as one of my favourite lip products, and even got itself to within my top ten. Made with real peanut butter (YUM) and shea butter, this lip balm glides on a dream and leaves a lovely soft shine to the lips, whilst leaving a hint of peanut butter and vanilla that could make any PB fan swoon. When I first saw this product I knew I would fall head over heels for it, and as soon as I applied it I knew I was done for!

Slightly different to the two other lip balms I've spoke about, the 'Snow White' Caring Lip Colour* does exactly what it says on the tin. Named after the famous Disney princess, this lipbalm is the perfect colour for anyone wishing to capture that gorgeous red lip for themselves. Red lips have always been iconic, and now more than ever it's so easy to obtain your ideal shade with so many choices out there. But when it comes to this lip colour, I can sense something slightly different.

'Snow White' is the perfect lip product to take you from day to night with a quick and easy application. With just a small dab across the lips, you can give yourself that subtle but noticeable sheer hint of red, or you can keep building on that and add more layers, giving yourself a beautiful and stronger colour. That's one of the reasons I love this little pot so much - it's pretty much suitable for anyone, and you can build up until you find your ideal coverage.

And if that wasn't enough to make you head on over and slap this lip colour in your shopping basket right now, then the fact that it has a dual use may change your mind. Because of how soft and buildable the colour is, it can also be used to add a tinge of colour to the cheeks. How perfect is that? With this in your bag, you'd be able to give yourself such a fresh and youthful look - awesome!

I must admit, I am a little obsessed with Lovely Cosmetics at the moment - I just love the fact that the ingredients are natural and ethically sourced. It really makes them stand out from other brands and products in my eyes, and it's such a breath of fresh air! I can see myself heading off to Sheffield soon to browse their other ranges - I've seen a fudge face mask in their online shop, and boy oh boy I do want to give that baby a go! It's aimed at people with regular to dry skin too, so I definitely need to pick this up sooner or later don't I? It's only logical!
