Ah, Summer. It's so close now that you can practically smell it, can't you? The heat has seriously cranked up recently and everyones been basking in it, me included! Usually I'm not one for hot weather (us seriously fair people can't usually cope) but recently it's been quite nice walking home from work in the sun. My normal route takes my down the canal and quite literally onto our doorstep, and it's such a nice journey when the weather is as beautiful as it has been.
As well as makeup, I love changing fragrances every now and then to keep things fresh. For a while I've always loved Dior fragrances, they're so delicate and inviting and they just have that air of luxury about them too. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I've found that certain perfumes tend to give me headaches after not too long as they're just slightly too strong and irritating for my liking. I suffer from migraines enough as it is, so I definitely don't need to add a trigger on a daily basis!
'Miss Dior' is a stunning combination of delicious fruity notes mixed together to give skin a light and feminine scent. It's truly captivating from the first spray, and I have to admit I have had a fair few compliments and comments when it comes to this perfume. Due to its price tag I don't tend to wear this everyday but rather on special occasions (or pretty much just anything other than work).
With top notes of orange and strawberry, the two tones blend together in harmony to create an instantly captivating scent that isn't too strong or overpowering. Add in tones of jasmine and rose that give way to base notes of patchouli and amber, and you have one of the most unique and soft fragrances that I've ever come across. The notes really blend well together and develop beautifully as it settles on the skin, leaving a touch of the fragrance for hours afterwards. Compared to other perfumes I've used in the past, I can honestly say that for me 'Miss Dior' holds its own against any others - there isn't another perfume out there that works as well as this one does.
As I've previously touched on, strong perfumes can sometimes aggravate or trigger migraines for me, which is obviously not ideal if it's to be worn for hours on end! Thankfully, unlike other brands out there that I've used with their strong and sometimes overwhelming fragrances, Dior have managed to blend together a perfect combination of notes without making them too overpowering or migraine inducing.
I have to seriously give Dior a round of applause when it comes to design too, as the bottle the perfume comes in makes it stand out from any other perfumes in my opinion. Keeping with the subtle and feminine style, the bottle is slightly hefty in weight but it makes up for that when it comes to the design. The top is one of the things that made this perfume appeal to me too, as it just seems to exude style and beauty with a touch of class. With Christian Dior's initials adorning the top, the lid also features a gorgeous silver bow to give the perfume bottle that extra hint of style. All in all, the bottle is simply stunning and really adds to the luxury of the 'Miss Dior' Eau De Parfum.
I have to admit here that this is the perfect fragrance to carry into the warm seasons, as it just gives off that luxury air without being too obvious or strong. To sum up 'Miss Dior' in one word, I would have to go with beautiful. It's so intoxicating, and whilst the price tag may be a little steep (£50 for 30ml) it is a good perfume to invest in, as it lasts well and throughout the day without much of a fade.
Do you own 'Miss Dior?' Or do you own a different Dior perfume, or maybe a different brand altogether? Maybe you have some recommendations for me? Let me know in the comments below!
