As you may or may not be aware, I have a slight obsession with all things Soap and Glory - their products are always fantastic, and believe me when I say that they set the bar high. The brand, who have celebrated their 10th birthday this year, have built a name for themselves in the beauty industry, as well as becoming known for their more carefree and relaxed attitude towards beauty.
One of the best things about Soap and Glory for me has to be their brilliantly chosen product names - just take the 'Sexy Mother Pucker' lipgloss, or the 'Glow All Out' luminizer for example. You can just tell that Soap and Glory have this fantastic, easy going approach towards beauty, and that is one things that makes them so different and unique compared to other brands out there. As an added bonus, their products are seriously budget friendly as well as being high quality - some products are even over half the cost of a similar high end product!
The first thing to catch my eye was the 'Perfect Ten' eyeshadow palette, and I immediately swooned. With such beautiful shades ranging from a stunning pearly white to a deep, rich plum, theres shades guaranteed to please pretty much everyone. One thing I've found with Soap and Glory eyeshadow palettes is that they are lovely and pigmented, which I personally think is fantastic as I've used some higher end eyeshadows before and really struggled with them. As an added bonus, I also picked up the 'Ultimatte Collection', a stunning 10 shade eyeshadow palette with matte shades ranging from a delicate soft sand colour to a deeper mauve-brown. Matte shades are a relatively new venture for me, as I typically tend to opt for more satin type eyeshadows - so keep your eyes peeled for a post on my progress!
The 'Bright and Beautiful 6-in-1 Energising Radiance Serum' instantly appealed to me straight away with it's promises of blurring dark spots and brightening skin instantly. Whilst it may be a bit of a mouthful, I have high hopes for this serum as my skin could use a bit of brightening, especially in the early mornings and as we head into the cooler seasons! Likewise, I'm also pretty excited about the 'Kick Ass Instant Retouch Pressed Powder' and it's promises to 'instantly perfect your face.' I'm imagining it to be like the 'De-Slick Mattifying Powder' I mentioned in my Urban Decay Haul not too long ago - fingers crossed on this one.
Bronzers have become one of my latest obsessions, and with that in mind I picked up the 'Wonderbronze' shimmer brick. It's been a while since I last used a shimmer brick, and even then that was back when I was younger with one from The Body Shop. I'm really loving the style and colours Wonderbronze has, especially as they could all be mixed together or used as separate individual colours. The 'Love At First Blush' highlight and sculpt stick also caters to my obsession with it's beautiful rosy shade and pearl finish. I'd even go so far as to bet on the two being a pretty fantastic combination!
Out of all things makeup, the only thing I'd ever missed out on was using eyebrow products. There were horror stories in my school about girls who had shaved their eyebrows off and drew them on instead - why someone would do this I have no idea, but it was enough to put me off for a good few years. Recently I've grown fond of Soap and Glory's Archery products, so when I happened upon the 'Archery D-I-Y Brow Bar', I decided to pick it up on a whim. Up until now all I've ever really done with my eyebrows is to fill them in a little with a brow crayon, so this is completely out of my comfort zone. I'm looking forward to experimenting a little with this though, so keep your fingers crossed for me that I don't suddenly end up with no eyebrows.
