With the summer days coming to an end, it's clear that we're now right into Autumn thanks to the cooler weather. I always say that I prefer the cold over heat any day, and when it comes to the first day of summer I'm already on countdown for the colder seasons. It means more snuggling up to keep warm, curling up under a blanket by the fireplace, and of course Halloween and eventually Christmas!
Another thing that comes with that cooler time of year is the candles - you know, the warmer fragranced ones, the spices and such? I am 100% a candle hoarder - all you have to do is ask my parents or Liam and they'd just roll their eyes. What can I say? I'm a collector! For a while Yankee Candles were my main obsession, and for a while I just couldn't get enough. Thankfully though, before too long I happened upon Flamingo Candles - and for those of you who read my monthly Melt Crowd posts, the rest is history...
For this month, the October box, Melt Crowd subscribers were treated to one of the best boxes yet - as soon as I saw this months melts, I broke out in a little happy dance. So I was a little disheartened when I realised my box had two of the same melt, and I was missing one altogether. Thankfully though, the amazing people at Flamingo Candles offered to send me out the melt I was missing, so imagine my surprise when I saw I'd been sent a full sized candle too! The people at FC are so kind and thoughtful, and they really go that extra step when it comes to their customers.
If there's one thing that Flamingo Candles are well known for, it has to be their designs - the square candle jar, the screw top lid and the funky flavours and colours. Each jar is adorned with the signature Florrie the Flamingo too - except for the new 'Bad Unicorn' range, which (you guessed it) has a UNICORN on the front! *Insert a million loveheart eyed emojis here*.
Coming in three different flavours - Hot Fudge, Pumpkin & Walnut and Salted Caramel Apple - the range is guaranteed to please! With sweet notes of sugar, Hot Fudge is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth, and it smells so good that it could even fool you into thinking its edible (just for the record, it isn't!). There's also a hint of creamy vanilla mixed in there too, and the candle gives off a warm and relaxing fragrance. Fudge is one of my favourite sweets in the world (top three material for sure), and the most irresistible thing about it for me is how gorgeous it smells. So can you imagine having a candle that perfectly captures that? From now on, I'm going to be permanently hungry and craving sugar whenever its lit. Do you feel my pain?
Have you tried any of the Bad Unicorn range from Flamingo Candles? Or maybe you have another candle to recommend? Let me know in the comments below!
