Wow, hi October! It's insane to think that we're getting so close to Christmas already. It feels like not too long ago that we were all eagerly anticipating Christmas day, and here it looms again, getting closer and closer to that big square on an advent calendar. Personally, I much rather prefer the colder seasons than the constant heat we've had this year. I'm ridiculously pale and I practically burst into flames when I'm caught in the slightest ray of sunlight so autumn and winter are definitely my seasons of choice. There's just something so cozy about warm jumpers and cuddling up around the fire that I love, and it's something I enjoy as much as I can each year.
Moving on though, September has been somewhat quieter compared to every other month this year so far. However, I've been trying to rotate my products around a bit more recently and I'm glad I did - I rediscovered some older favourites as well as finding some new loves! My Nyx 'Love In Paris*' eyeshadow palette made another reappearance in my makeup bag, and you can tell how much I've loved one particular shade! Hitting pan on this palette really made it hit home how much I rock a golden smoky eye on a daily basis, and I love combining the lighter, golden shade with a deeper brown around the edges.
My second favourite of September, and probably my favourite of the entire year really, is the beautiful 'Cami' Matte X Lippie Stix from Colourpop. Last month I did my very first Colourpop Haul, and I must admit I've got the bug and I'm dying to get another one placed! Cami is definitely one of my top shades, I just love how beautiful and deep the colour is. A stunning mauve pink colour, Cami glides on like a dream with a perfect matte finish, and it's my current go to shade for everyday wear. I love it.
The Urban Decay 'De-Slick' Mattifying Powder is one of those products that is always in my bag, and it's the perfect product for controlling shine. One of my biggest peeves when it comes to my makeup has to be the shine my face gets after a while...surely I'm not alone? Well, this baby is fantastic at keeping the shine at bay and I can't recommend it highly enough.
Not too long ago I reviewed Sanctuary's own perfume (you can check it out here), and I love that I can get their signature scent to wear. For years I've always used Sanctuary products and as much as I loved them, I was always disheartened once the scent disappeared. Thankfully there's no need to worry anymore, and I always keep this in my bag for a little spritz here and there throughout the day. If you're not familiar with the signature Sanctuary scent, then I urge you to head to your nearest Boots store now and start sniffing the products. Seriously. Go do it. Now.
My final product comes in the form of this beautiful nail polish from Dior, in the shade 'Cosmopolite'. This one was actually a birthday present a few months ago from my friend Amélie, and since then I've rocked it a fair few times. Like Cami, it's a beautiful and deep colour perfect for everyday wear, and the two go in hand well! It's such a feminine and beautiful colour that it's hard not to love, and I've got a fair few compliments at work about it when I've been wearing it.
