Wow, I can't believe I've been a Melt Crowd subscriber for 15 months now, it's insane! Time sure does fly right? And to mark that special occasion, I was even spoiled with an extra melt in the form of 'Kir Royale.' Oh Flamingo Candles, you do spoil me! This months box is themed all around 'sugar and spice', or rather 'Sugar vs Spice.' I'm not going to lie, when I first picked up the box it smelt amazing, and once I saw the card inside I almost did a little happy dance to myself with a lot of girly squealing. With scents ranging from the delicious 'Cherry Sundae' to the intoxicating 'Buttered Rum', there's sure to be a melt to suit everyone in this months box.

The Sugars

'Cherry Sundae' Sugar Melt - Cherry Sundae is probably the most dominant melt in the box, and it's definitely one of the scents you can smell before the box is even open. With a very warm and sugary air to it, this melt faintly reminds me of a fairground with the sweet scent that always seems to linger in the air, or those cherry slush puppies everyone used to go crazy for, including me!

'Pink Ribbon' Sugar Melt - This melt made its first appearance a year ago exactly (pure coincidence?) in October 2015, and it was the standout melt of the box. Pink Ribbon is different to any other melts as it was designed for a special cause - for every sale, 20% of the cost will go to the Pink Ribbon foundation, a charity to support and help people suffering from breast cancer. It definitely helps that the melt smells absolutely divine and fruity, so they're guaranteed to go flying off of the shelves.

'Candy Floss & Pear Drops' Duo Scent Melt - This melt is one of the ones that took me by surprise this month, as it doesn't smell as sweet as I thought it would. Typically I'm not really a pear fan, and it's been a while but I can remember when I was younger my Dad loved pear drop sweets. This duo melt somehow manages to perfectly capture that and I'll admit, it does make me slightly nostalgic. However I do have a weak spot for candy floss, and the only thing that makes me slightly sad about this melt is that there's not really any trace of that it.

'Oriental Lotus & Rose Otto' Sugar Melt - Boy this melt smells amazing. It's intensely fresh and uplifting, and my first thought was that it smells like soft laundry or linen. You know that moment when you pull your clothes out of the washing machine and inhale, and it just smells so fresh and clean? That's exactly how this melt smells, and I swear that somehow Flamingo Candles have managed to condense the scent of Comfort into a single melt. I love it.

The Spices

'Salted Caramel Apple' Spice Melt - Ah I swear that if you put the scent of caramel in anything it'd always make me weak at the knees. Back in April I received the 'Raspberry & Salted Caramel' melt, and it quickly made its way into my favourites. Well, I have to say this melt has wormed its way into my heart too - it's a gorgeous and smooth caramel scent, with a small dash of apple. Another melt that gives off that fairground vibe.

'Buttered Rum' Spice Melt - This melt was one that definitely took me by surprise. Call me boring, but ever since I was seriously ill last year, I've given up drinking as it just didn't seem appealing to me anymore. But in those few years where I did love a good drink, I've never actually tried rum...so I actually have no idea what it smells like. This melt is definitely an interesting one though as it has a certain warmth to it, with an undertone of spice.

'Sweet Tobacco' Scent Melt - Another melt that took me by surprise, Sweet Tobacco isn't as strong or overpowering as I thought. More spice orientated than the other melts, it has this earthy kind of air to it too, and kind of makes me think of a mans cologne. It definitely has that masculine air to it.

This months box has made its way up there into my favourites, and I love the concept of having sugars vs spices. It's definitely something creative and different and certainly gives the boxes an added edge. The only downside for me is that instead of receiving a 'Pumpkin & Walnut' spice melt, I received two 'Sweet Tobacco' melts instead. Once I saw the Pumpkin melt on the card I have to admit I was very excited, so it was a bit disappointing to realise it was missing. Other than that though I have to praise Flamingo Candles for creating such a fantastic box!
