One of my biggest guilty pleasures in life has to be watching reality TV shows - everytime Liam hears the EOTB intro or a random Geordie accent, I can practically hear his eyes rolling in to the back of his head. That being said, I have yet to see his reaction to something such as Made In Chelsea, which admittedly I haven't seen for a while. Even so, I recognise the names and the faces from the show, and I have to say Rosie Fortescue is one of my ultimate faves. A true Chelsea girl at heart, Rosie is even a fellow blogger with a definite creative side, and as part of that comes todays post - the NAILED London Gel Nail Polish Collection, created by none other than Rosie herself.
A while back when the collection was first announced, I had the pleasure of being sent some of the shades to try out myself, as well as a base and top coat (you can find that full review here). Since then the range is one I've come to love on a deeper level, and have since reinvested in certain shades years later. As a gel look nail collection, NAILED London combines must-have shades with a revolutionary system to match all the desirability of an in salon gel manicure, and is designed to last 2-3 days longer than other gel-look products. That's all without the hassle of UV lights and having to go in to a salon of course, and for only £7 a bottle its a heck of a lot cheaper too.
I have a serious thing for all things grey, and it seems that that extends to my choices of nail colour too. 'Eye Candy' is a beautiful light grey colour, and whilst it does look pretty much almost white in the bottle, it transfers to the nail that little bit darker. At the same time I also splashed out on the similar 'Fifty Shades' which at first I thought was identical, but actually goes on the nail that bit darker. Out of all the shades I have to say this is probably my favourite so far as I'm just a sucker for anything dark grey...it's a weakness of mine I have to admit.
Moving over to the nude shades, the light beige 'Noodle Nude' is perfect for everyday wear. It's actually named after Rosie's pet dog Noodle, and its quite a warm shade thats suitable for use no matter what the season. 'Dirty Blonde' is exactly as advertised, a beautiful deep caramel colour that kind of reminds me of coffee. It looks absolutely gorgeous on too, and I've had my fair few compliments at work when I've been rocking it. 'Thigh High Club' is a slightly different shade which is absolutely perfect for autumn/winter time with its deep red tones, and looks seriously sophisticated and a tad sexy.
With a number of ingredients to help the colour last and make nails durable, the polishes help protect nails thanks to the shellac, as well as being so pigmented that you could only apply one coat. It always amazes me how tough they make the nails too - thanks to the volcanic glass included in each bottle, each nail after application feels 10 times tougher and harder to snap. Overall, if you love giving your nails a bit of a treat I'd definitely recommend NAILED London.
