If there's one thing every beauty addict loves, it has to be a good lipstick - I know that's definitely the case for me anyway! And one of the best brands out there at the minute for lip products undoubtedly has to be Colourpop, who are currently unrivalled when it comes to their excellent quality and low, low prices. Seriously - $5 for a Lippie Stix? That works out to just £4 a product, and they have to be some of the best lip products I've ever used.
But even with their low prices, there comes a little bump in the road for us UK Colourpop shoppers. Costing £25 for international shipping, it is slightly eye watering to fork out so much just to get the products here, especially when you consider thats excluding import tax. Not too long ago I did my first Colourpop haul where I mentioned that I'd paired up with my friend Natalie to split the cost down the middle, an effective method if you have quite a few items racked up on your list. This time however, Colourpop offered free shipping for international customers - which, when you consider the steep price, is somewhat of a blessing in disguise.
I've heard good things about Colourpop's brow pots, and since I'd ran out of my Soap & Glory Archery pencil, I added the 'Honey Blonde' Brow Pot to my basket. For me I always consider it a risk ordering items related to my hair colour online, as I've often found them to be slightly different in person. For only $6 (around £4.82) though you can't really go wrong, and I have to say I'm glad I took the plunge. Honey Blonde is the perfect shade to help shape and fill in my eyebrows, and I find that it's quite a nice, warm shade of blonde that really helps bring any makeup look together. Another product that caught my eye is the stunning 'Stereo' Super Shock Eyeshadow - different to any other eyeshadow I'd typically order, its probably one of the main reasons why I love it. A deep burgundy shade, Stereo is the perfect eyeshadow to create a smoky eye, and with a copper/plum shimmer to it it's guaranteed to stand out. I'll definitely be rocking this shade for a deeper and bolder smoky eye!
I have a little bit of an obsession with liquid lipsticks at the minute, and Colourpop seem to have started it all. As soon as I saw the 'Viper' Ultra Matte Lipstick I knew I was in love, and from the swatches it doesn't take a genius to determine why. It's such a beautiful dusty rose shade which is perfect for everyday use, and I'll definitely be rocking this around the office. The 'Notion' Ultra Matte Lipstick made its way into my basket at the same time too, albeit for a slightly different reason. It's a gorgeous rich and deep red shade, and everyone knows that red lips are always a timeless look. Slightly different to my typical matte picks, the 'Baracuda' Ultra Satin Lipstick has a more sheer finish to it than the others. Whilst in the swatches it does look like another matte shade, Baracuda feels slightly more breathable on the lips whilst keeping it's incredible pigmentation. More of a warm, deep rose gold colour, Baracuda is another shade that's ideal for everyday wear, and it would look perfect with a golden smoky eye. The 'Sookie' Ultra Glossy Lipstick also immediately appealed to me with its deep plum tones, plus its named after a character in one of my favourite TV shows (True Blood), so what's not to love? It has a very glossy finish to it aswell so it's different from my usual matte picks, and I love how pigmented it is.
Colourpop's Lippie Stix are another weakness of mine, and this time round I couldn't resist going for a couple of brighter shades. A beautiful dusty rose kind of colour, the 'Contempo' Lippie Stix looks a lot pinker on my skin than I thought it would but it's still gorgeous in it's own right. It's another colour that can be used for standard everyday wear but with a small bright pop, and I imagine it looking great with a neutral palette and dewy base. The 'Brink' Lippie Stix definitely took me by surprise too as I wasn't expecting it to look quite so orange-toned against my skin, but the terracotta-rose shade definitely does impress.
Overall I'm pretty impressed with my Colourpop haul this time around - it's not as jam packed as my first haul granted, but this time around I put some solid time in to deciding which shades I wanted instead of chucking every shade I fancied in my basket and going completely crazy!
