Happy Easter!
In true festive fashion, I have an interesting post for you today. After indulging in way too much chocolate over the bank holiday weekend, I finally got round to opening up my latest box from Flamingo Candles, and boy is it a good one. Themed all around the Easter holiday, this months edition of The Melt Crowd comes with some seriously beautiful melts. Let's take a look shall we?
'Lychee & Peony' Scent Melt - Quite a fruity melt, 'Lychee & Peony' has a refreshing and uplifting air to it. There's small floral notes to the melt too, and a slight musk aswell. It's quite a warming melt and not at all what I expected.
'Chocolate' Scent Melt - Boy oh boy I don't think I need any help describing this one - it's similar to the 'Easter Egg' Scent Melt from last years box. Of course with it being Easter there had to be something chocolate themed in here somewhere, and this melt perfectly captures that essence. It's rich and sweet with a small hint of warmth. Delicious.
'Macaroon & Almond' Scent Melt - In all honesty I'm not sure what I think of this melt as I'm not too keen on the scent of almonds. To me the almond is quite overpowering, but there's a small glimmer of something sweet in there which I'm assuming is the Macaroon. It's not terrible, but not my favourite of the box either.
'Lavender & Chamomile' Scent Melt - This melts quite an interesting one to me. You know that smell once you've done washing or put on new bedsheets, that fresh and crisp scent? Well that's what this melt smells like to me - it's like fresh linen. The chamomile and lavender work well together here to give a nice and uplifting aroma.
'Bunny Pom-Poms' Scent Melt - I have to admit, when I saw this melt I was a little intrigued as I had no idea what it would smell like. It's not as strong as some of the other melts in the box, and it has a scent I can't quite describe. There's a fruity hint to it too which I love - I can never get enough fruity melts!
'Pineapple & Raspberry' Scent Melt - Speaking of fruity melts...yum. Normally I'm not a big fan of pineapple but there's something about this melt that just seems to work. It might be the sweet tones of raspberry, but I really love this melt and it's probably one of my favourites of the entire box.
'Juicy Pomelo' Scent Melt - Another melt with a scent I couldn't quite place, I asked Liam for his opinion on this one. After a very sarcastic reply he mentioned that it smelled similar to the Lemon & Lime Original Source shower gel. It does have quite a strong citrus air to it which is pretty refreshing.
'Bunny Kisses' Scent Melt - Another repeat from last years Easter box, the 'Bunny Kisses' melt is a welcome addition to my collection. It has a delicious rhubarb and custard scent to it, and even comes in a cute little bunny shape!
'Cranberry, Orange & Cinnamon' Scent Melt (21 Months) - Wow, 21 months with The Melt Crowd. I swear it only seems like yesterday I was celebrating being a 12 month subscriber, but here we are. The 'Cranberry, Orange & Cinnamon' melt is actually a repeat back from October 2015, and it's pretty strong and powerful.
Overall, this months box has been pretty interesting and I love how Easter-centric it is - the chocolate melt and the bunny melt definitely get my vote! I'm seriously excited to see what May's box brings - are you a Melt Crowd subscriber? What did you think of this months box? Let me know in the comments below!
