There's always something that get's me all giddy when it comes to a Lush product. I guess over the years I've become conditioned to it, and nowadays I can't even go within the vicinity of a Lush shop without dragging whoever I'm with inside for a quick browse. It's somewhat of a blogger right of passage, and now that I come to think of it I'm sure other bloggers are responsible for making me slightly obsessed with bath bombs! Another thing I've come to love from Lush is the Shower Jelly's - seriously, how fun are they?! They wibble and wobble all about, which certainly makes shower time a hell of a lot more interesting doesn't it? Granted it may not be that fun when it's slipping and sloshing around the bathtub as you try and grab it, but it's certainly something different to try!
For me, 'Refresher' is one of those products that you'll more than likely fall head over heels for - it's sweet and nostalgic, and definitely gives a nod towards it's namesake. With strong citrus notes it's certainly a beautiful, fruity combination that is perfect for invigorating and waking you up in the morning. If you're a big citrus fan then this is definitely a product you're not going to want to miss - and in fact, even if you're not big on lemon-y based scents then I'd still urge you to give it a try. It has such a unique appeal to it, and when you combine that with the rosewood oil that's also a key ingredient, you get a refreshing scent with a bit of a kick. Overall, as far as scents go, it's quite a simple aroma that reminds me of the sweets I used to love when I was younger.
The product itself is quite a large, decent size, and at £4.25 for 100g I personally think that you get more than enough for your money. It lasts over a fair few showers, and depending on how much you use you can stretch it out even further. Bright and bold yellow in colour, it's certainly eye catching and appealing, and even has a shimmer to it when it catches in the light. As I mentioned before it can be somewhat of a chore trying to keep hold of the jelly in the shower if you prefer to just use the whole block all over like me, but I do know people who have instead cut the jelly into smaller and more manageable chunks. Each to their own I guess, but I personally relish the challenge! In the shower the jelly lathers up impressively well, and I often found myself pretty chuffed with how well it actually worked at first. The scent transfers over to the skin effectively, and whilst it's definitely stronger straight from the pot, it leaves a subtle linger on the skin that you can smell for hours afterwards. Seriously, it's an impressive feat and I loved how refreshed (pun intended) I felt afterwards, aswell as how uplifted and upbeat I felt for the day ahead.
Altogether I can't recommend this product enough from Lush, especially if you have a bit of a weakness for lemon-y citrus scents. It's perfect for waking you up in the morning and really getting you going for whatever the day has to throw at you. At under £5 for a 100g tub aswell I have to say that you're getting quite a lot of value for your money - plenty of showers later I still have more than enough left to tide me over for another couple of months or so! Have you tried the 'Refresher' Shower Jelly before? What are your thoughts? Or maybe you have an alternative to recommend for me? Let me know in the comments below!
